Donate Coats!
The Rotary Clubs of Paso Robles, Templeton, and Atascadero have joined our 2024 volunteer team and their Collection Box Committees have placed collection boxes throughout the North County. Check out the list below!
If you have new or gently-used CLEAN coats, jackets, sweaters or sweatshirts to donate, please place them in one of our collection boxes.
For items needing cleaning or refreshing, our dedicated North County cleaners are also drop-off locations. They clean them free of charge. Just drop them off, say “Coats for Kids” and a committee member will pick them up!

Financial Donations!
Coats for Kids can also use your financial support! COVID-19 interrupted our fundraising efforts to purchase some new jackets in sizes where we have a gap, so please consider a monetary donation. Your tax-deductible donation goes directly toward the purchase of coats, jackets, sweaters, sweatshirts, scarves, gloves, etc. to keep our kids warm, happy, healthy and able to attend school.
Coats for Kids of SLO County works directly with ALF Food Pantry (formerly known as Atascadero Loaves & Fishes), a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization, so you can be assured that your donation is not only tax-deductible, but that your dollars will have the maximum impact on the community.
Donations by check**
Please mail your check to: ALF Food Pantry, 5411 El Camino Real, Atascadero, CA 93422
**PLEASE BE SURE TO NOTE ON YOUR CHECK THAT YOUR GENEROUS DONATION IS FOR COATS FOR KIDS!
Thank you for supporting Coats for Kids and the North County community. Help spread the word!
We always need Volunteers!
We have a wonderful volunteer team, and we’d love for you to join us! We typically serve over 750 families each year, with a warm coat, jacket, sweater, or sweatshirt for each member of the family. That can equate to working with some 3,000 items! The logistics of set-up and distribution for a one-day event are impressive. From hosting a collection box, to gathering clean donated items from our cleaners and drop-off locations, to transporting and setting up at the venue, to working with recipient families at the event, there are many ways you can help!
The 2024 distribution will take place on Saturday, December 14 and we will be setting up during the week before.
To volunteer, please call Brenda May at 805-466-8610.
